About the Journal

Institutions of Islamic Law is an international peer-reviewed open-access journal that advances institutional approaches to Islamic legal studies by publishing rigorous, interdisciplinary, and globally relevant scholarship on the governance, administration, regulation, development, and transformation of Islamic legal institutions across diverse legal systems and jurisdictions. The journal is published biannually in April and October.
