Generative AI Policy

Institutions of Islamic Law recognizes that generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools may assist authors in improving language, grammar, or readability. However, AI tools must not be listed as authors, as they cannot assume responsibility for the originality, accuracy, or integrity of scholarly work.

Authors who use generative AI during manuscript preparation must disclose its use in the appropriate section of the manuscript. Authors remain fully responsible for the content, originality, accuracy, citations, interpretations, and conclusions presented in their work.

The journal does not permit the use of generative AI to fabricate or manipulate research data, generate false citations, produce misleading content, or engage in any form of academic misconduct. Suspected misuse of AI will be handled in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics and the COPE Guidelines.
